The academic program of Verde Valley Christian School is designed to give the student the strongest possible background in the basic subjects of Bible, reading, writing, spelling, arithmetic, science, social studies, and health, with additional attention to art, music, computers, Spanish, and physical education. To accomplish the major part of this course of study, quality Christian curriculum materials are obtained from publishers such as the Association of Christian School International (ACSI), ABEKA, and Bob Jones University Press.  All educational materials are approved by the school administrator and by the Verde Valley Christian School Leadership Team. All courses meet the requirements of the State Department of Education.

Reading skills are taught with an emphasis on phonics in kindergarten, first, and second grades. A strong reading program continues through the grades with an emphasis on reading comprehension and speed.

Each classroom day and each chapel program begins with saluting the American flag, The Christian flag, and the Bible; then concludes with prayer.
